Luster Application Workshop

We’re excited to offer a Luster Application Workshop on December 6th at 1:00 PM. This hands-on session is perfect for anyone wanting to learn how to apply overglaze lusters for beautiful, shimmering effects.

Participants are welcome to bring a up to six finished pieces. All pieces must have gone through a glaze firing before luster can be applied.

During the workshop, we will provide the following lusters:

    •    Gold – For a rich, classic metallic sheen

    •    Mother-of-Pearl – Adds an iridescent, rainbow-like shimmer

    •    Platinum – Delivers a bright, silver-toned luster

Safety Note:

Lusters can produce strong fumes during application. Masks are recommended, especially for those sensitive to smells, and gloves will be required to ensure safe handling of the materials.

Instructors will guide participants step-by-step through proper luster application techniques to help ensure clean, successful results for the upcoming luster firing.
