Curious about American Mahjong but not sure where to start? This
two-day introductory class is designed to guide you through the
fundamentals of the game in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Participants will learn the basics of American Mahjong, including tile
recognition, game setup, turn order, and how to read and play using The Big Card by The Mahjong Line. Instruction will focus on understanding the card, building hands, and developing confidence in gameplay.
Tiles and cards will be provided for use during class, and each participant will leave with their own copy of The Big Card
to continue playing after the class. Game instructions will be emailed
ahead of time and will be used as a reference throughout both sessions.
No prior experience is required—just bring your curiosity and be ready to learn a classic game enjoyed for generations!
