Get into the holiday spirit with this fun and easy clay workshop.
You will learn how to make a cute decorative reindeer using simple
slab-building techniques. No clay experience is needed. In about an hour
and a half, we will walk you through each step as you shape, build, and
add holiday touches to your reindeer. It is a great way to relax, get
creative, and make something special for the season.

Missy's
creative obsession with clay began with an introductory ceramics class.
She found herself spending countless hours in the studio- exploring,
learning, and refining her craft. After a decade of working with clay,
she became a ceramics instructor at Prairie Arts Center, where she now
teaches hand-building and beginning wheel classes.
Missy
specializes in creating functional everyday pieces like mugs, baking
dishes, and teapots, but she also enjoys crafting decorative work. Over
the years, she has gathered a wealth of techniques and tricks, which she
loves sharing with her students to make pottery both fun and
accessible. Whether at the wheel or in the classroom, Missy finds joy in
helping others discover the magic of clay.

*Reindeer will be ready to pick up and paint on November 22nd.

week before the class begins. If Prairie needs to cancel, we will
schedule a makeup class. However, if students miss a class we do not
offer makeup sessions
