Get into the holiday spirit with this cheerful card-making
workshop! In this beginner-friendly class, you'll create your own
festive greeting cards using watercolor and ink techniques. Learn how to
blend soft washes of color with bold ink outlines to bring holiday
themes like holly, ornaments, and Christmas trees to life. We'll explore
simple sketching, inking, and watercolor layering to produce two unique
handmade cards—perfect for giving or framing!
No drawing or painting experience is necessary—just bring your
holiday cheer and creativity. All supplies are provided, including
watercolor sets, brushes, pens, and high-quality card stock.
Instructor Name Lauren
Oyer is a graduate from Oklahoma State University with her BA in Studio
Art. Lauren works with a variety of mediums including oils, charcoal,
pastels, acrylics and watercolors while occasionally using 3D elements
throughout her work. She has worked as a live artist for events and has
exhibited her work at the OSU Museum of Art, Gardiner Gallery of Art,
the OSU Orange Wall, the Modella Art Gallery, and Gold Fang Gallery in
Oklahoma City.
